Arooga's Sports Bar

FAQs

What makes Arooga's a Green restaurant?

Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar is the first full service Certified Green Restaurant in the state of PA.  We have taken many steps in reducing our carbon footprint and our overall effect on the environment. Some of the many steps we have taken are completely removing styrofoam from all locations, recycling our grease, cardboard, and glass, using nontoxic cleaning and chemical products, have installed energy efficient hand-dryers in the restrooms, and have added an energy management system.  Arooga's plans to introduce new steps every year.

Is Arooga's a franchise?

Arooga's has recently won "WANTED:  America's Next Top Restaurant Franchise", a contest co-sponsored by Sysco Foods and The Franchise Edge.  Out of 240 restaurants that competed nationally, Arooga's was the grand prize winner, meaning we will be franchised.  By next year, we hope to have locations throughout Pennsylvania, with Virginia and Maryland locations following soon after, and locations eventually opening across the country.

How does Arooga's help with the local community & charities?

Arooga's has it's own Fundraising program called FUNDS FOR FRIENDS. We donate 15% of sales from every customer you invite.  There is no upfront costs or selling. For more information, you can contact us @ 717-635-WING (9464) or email us at fundsforfriends@aroogas.com.
